Nashville: My Second Home
by Dani-elle Kleha
From the moment you step off the plane into the BNA terminal, the sights and sounds of Nashville hit you. You know that
you have now officially landed in Music City USA. Southern Hospitality immediately surrounds you, with the nicest people
you will ever meet in your life. When you hit the road, you’ll see the most beautiful atmosphere, from a bustling city
right to peaceful country sides just minutes away. All of a sudden, there it is, the peak of the infamous Batman building
in the center of town, soon revealing the most magnificent site, the Nashville skyline.
This officially gets you excited and all of sudden you can’t wait to get going! So many things to see and do, you won’t
know where to go first. Take a walk up and down Broadway and Second Ave, buy some new boots, memorabilia , and possibly just bump into your favorite country artists doing the same thing as you. Stop by my favorite hotel, The Hutton, just
minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown, for a top luxurious stay. A great thing my family loves about this hotel,
is that it completely pet friendly, so we can bring our favorite little Maltese along for the journey every time. Once you
get your feet wet in this great town, you will want to start exploring.
When I am not in the studio recording or in a vocal session, my parents and I love to head on over to some of my favorite
shopping spots, Opry Mills Mall, Green Hills Mall, Two Old Hippies, and Boot Country, just to name a few. Take a tour of
the legendary Grand Ole Opry, and learn all there is to know about our beloved Opry stage and the infamous circle. Before
you leave the tour, be sure to stop on over to the ticket counter to purchase your tickets for the upcoming show that
night. The journey does not end here. Ride back into downtown and tour the mother church of country music, The Ryman
After this take a walk to The Country Music Hall of Fame, and see many exhibits of country artists. As the sun starts to
set, you probably will think it is about time to head back to The Hutton for the night, but in Nashville this is not true!
When the stars come out, the night life of Nashville begins. For a fabulous dinner, head on up for an Italian meal at my
favorite restaurant, Maggiano’s. Walk up and down the streets of downtown to stop and listen to some great music. You just
never know who might be playing in these venues. If you are a football fan, and happen to be there during the season, have
your travel advisor at Concierge Travel book you tickets to see the Tennessee Titans play at LP Field.
If you are not a sports fan, then ask for options of concerts in town during your stay at the Bridgestone Arena. When it
is time to head back to your hotel and unwind from your first day in this wonderful city, head on in to The Hutton’s award
winning 1808 Grille right inside the hotel to enjoy a fabulous dinner. Nashville is a magical city, and unlike any other
trip you will ever take. Whether you are a musician, music lover, or just want to visit the town, definitely have your
Concierge travel advisor set you up a trip of a lifetime. Nashville is home away from home for my family and I hope you
get the opportunity to experience Music City USA.
